Welcome to The Glasgow Academy

Founded in 1845, The Glasgow Academy is one of Scotland’s leading independent schools for pupils aged 3-18.

Here at The Glasgow Academy, we are passionate about learning and developing the talents, skills, and qualities of our pupils. We have a long tradition of fostering academic excellence, and we are deeply proud of our pupils’ achievements. Results in external examinations are consistently among the best in the country.

The Glasgow Academy is principally located at Kelvinbridge, but also has two further sites in Milngavie and Newlands for Nursery, Kindergarten, and Prep 1-4 pupils.

Across our three locations we have developed a warm, inclusive, and mutually supportive community which prides itself on academic excellence, a strong work ethic, and enjoyment of learning. Our family environment provides nurture and support for our young people whilst challenging them to work hard and aim high.
