Nursery & Kindergarten Fees

All children aged 3-5 years old are entitled to 1140 hours of Scottish Government funded early learning and childcare.

As a Funded Provider, families can use their child’s funded entitlement at our Kelvinbridge, Milngavie and Newlands Nurseries and Kindergarten settings. Children become eligible according to when their 3rd birthday falls.

You can access your child’s hours over 50 weeks of the year August to July; or over term-time August to June.

If you access the hours all year round over 50 weeks then you will be entitled to 22.8 hours of funded nursery provision per week. If you access hours during term-time only, you will be entitled to 30 hours of funded nursery provision per week.

The entitlement is pro-rata. This means that if your child starts nursery after August their entitlement for that year is proportionally reduced.

Your child’s funded hours can be utilised either:

Term time*: Five mornings (8.00am to 1.00pm) plus two afternoons (1.00pm to 4.20pm)
or Year round**: Five mornings (8.00am to 1.00pm)

Additional sessions are charged at The Academy rate of £7.79/hour (2024/25). If you are eligible, additional session costs can be paid using the Tax Free Childcare Scheme.
